Ingredients
- 3.0 oz Hershey’s Baking Chocolate
- 0.333 cup water
- 0.75 cup butter or margarine
- 2.25 cups brown sugar
- 2.0 eggs
- 1.0 tsp vanilla
- 2.25 cups cake flour
- 1.0 tsp baking soda
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 1.0 cup water
Directions
- 1. Melt chocolate in 1/3 cup water over low heat, cool.
- 2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- 3. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well.
- 4. Blend in chocolate.
- 5. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- 6. Add dry ingredients and 1 cup water alternately, beat until blended.
- 7. Pour into greased and floured 8” or 9” pans.
- 8. Bake at 350°F for 30-40 minutes.
- 9. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pans.
