Ingredients

  • 3.0 cups flour
  • 2.0 cups sugar
  • 0.5 cup oleo
  • 1.0 cup raisins
  • 1.0 cup nuts
  • 2.0 tsp cinnamon
  • 2.0 tsp nutmeg
  • 2.0 tsp cloves
  • 1.0 pinch salt
  • 1.0 pinch allspice
  • 2.0 cups sour milk
  • 2.0 tsp baking soda

Directions

  • 1. Mix flour, sugar, and oleo, reserve 1 cup for topping.
  • 2. Add raisins, nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt, and allspice.
  • 3. Stir baking soda into sour milk, add to mixture.
  • 4. Beat thoroughly.
  • 5. Pour into an oiled pan.
  • 6. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over top.
  • 7. Bake at 375°F for 35 minutes.
