Ingredients

  • 5.0 tbsp baking cocoa
  • 0.625 cup oleo
  • 0.625 cup vegetable oil
  • 1.25 cups cold water
  • 2.5 cups sifted flour
  • 2.5 cups sugar
  • 0.625 cup buttermilk
  • 3.0 eggs, beaten
  • 1.25 tsp baking soda
  • 1.25 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup oleo (frosting)
  • 3.0 tbsp milk (frosting)
  • 2.0 tbsp baking cocoa (frosting)
  • 0.3125 cup English walnuts (frosting)
  • 1.25 tsp vanilla (frosting)

Directions

  • 1. Boil cocoa, oleo, oil, and water.
  • 2. Add to flour and sugar mixture while hot.
  • 3. Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, and cinnamon.
  • 4. Pour into a greased and floured full sheet pan.
  • 5. Bake at 400°F for 18 minutes.
  • 6. Melt oleo, milk, and cocoa for frosting.
  • 7. Add powdered sugar, walnuts, and vanilla.
  • 8. Spread on hot cake.
