Ingredients
- 1.0 cup rye flour
- 0.25 cup brown sugar
- 0.25 cup dark Karo syrup
- 1.0 tbsp salt
- 2.0 cups boiling water
- 1.0 pkg yeast
- 1.0 amount warm water
- 1.0 tsp sugar
- 1.0 amount white flour
Directions
- 1. Add rye flour, brown sugar, Karo syrup, and salt to boiling water, stir and cool.
- 2. Dissolve yeast in warm water with 1 tsp sugar.
- 3. Add yeast mixture to cooled mixture.
- 4. Add enough white flour for a medium stiff dough.
- 5. Bake at 375°F for 45-60 minutes.
