Ingredients
- 0.5 cup shortening, melted
- 0.5 cup boiling water
- 0.333 cup sugar
- 0.75 tsp salt
- 1.0 pkg dry yeast
- 0.5 cup lukewarm water
- 1.0 egg
- 3.0 cups flour
- 1.0 amount melted butter
Directions
- 1. Combine shortening, boiling water, sugar, and salt, cool.
- 2. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
- 3. Beat egg and add to shortening mixture.
- 4. Add yeast mixture and flour, knead.
- 5. Let rise 1 hour.
- 6. Knead down.
- 7. Pinch off walnut-sized pieces, dip in melted butter.
- 8. Place in a bundt pan.
- 9. Let rise 1 hour.
- 10. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes.
- 11. Cool 5 minutes, turn out on plate.
