Ingredients
- 0.5 cup lukewarm water
- 2.0 pkgs active dry yeast
- 1.0 cup milk, scalded
- 6.0 tbsp butter
- 1.0 cup sugar
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 3.0 eggs, beaten
- 6.0 cups all-purpose flour
- 1.0 amount cherry pie filling
Directions
- 1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- 2. Mix butter, sugar, and salt with scalded milk, cool to lukewarm.
- 3. Add eggs, yeast mixture, and 3 cups flour, beat until smooth.
- 4. Add 2 more cups flour, let rest 10 minutes.
- 5. Add remaining flour and knead 8-10 minutes.
- 6. Let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
- 7. Punch down and rest 10 minutes.
- 8. Roll into a 14x7” rectangle.
- 9. Spread with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- 10. Roll up and slice into rolls.
- 11. Place in greased pan and let rise until doubled.
- 12. Make indentations in centers and fill with cherry pie filling.
- 13. Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes.
