Easy no-cook cucumber pickles

Ingredients

  • 0.0 cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced (to fill a gallon jar)
  • 0.0 onions (optional)
  • 4.0 cups sugar
  • 4.0 cups vinegar
  • 1.5 tsp turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp celery seed
  • 1.5 tsp mustard seed

Directions

  • 1. Fill a gallon jar nearly full with sliced cucumbers and onions if desired.
  • 2. Mix sugar, vinegar, turmeric, celery seed, and mustard seed without heating.
  • 3. Pour solution over cucumbers.
  • 4. Seal and refrigerate for 5 days before using.
