Mashed Potatoes

Creamy whipped potatoes

Ingredients

  • 3.0 lb potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 2.0 tsp salt, divided
  • 0.375 cup milk
  • 5.0 tbsp butter or margarine

Directions

  • 1. Place potatoes in a large saucepan, cover with water, and add 1 tsp salt.
  • 2. Cover and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cook 20-30 minutes until tender.
  • 3. Drain potatoes and place in a large mixing bowl.
  • 4. Add ΒΌ cup milk, butter, and remaining 1 tsp salt, beating on low speed until light and fluffy.
  • 5. Add more milk if needed.
