Cheesy Hashbrowns

Rich potato casserole with topping

Ingredients

  • 2.0 packages hash brown potatoes, frozen and diced
  • 0.5 cup melted butter or oleo
  • 1.0 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp pepper
  • 1.0 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2.0 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup chopped onions
  • 2.0 cups sour cream
  • 2.0 cups crushed corn flakes
  • 0.25 cup melted butter (for topping)

Directions

  • 1. Thaw potatoes and combine with butter, salt, pepper, soup, cheese, onions, and sour cream.
  • 2. Spread in a 3-quart casserole or large flat baking dish.
  • 3. Sprinkle corn flakes mixed with melted butter over the top.
  • 4. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 1½ hours.
