
Spiced pear double-crust pie

Ingredients
- 5.0 cups thinly sliced pears
- 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
- 3.0 tbsp flour
- 2.0 tbsp lemon juice
- 0.5 tsp ground nutmeg
- 0.25 cup sugar
- 1.0 tsp ground cinnamon
- 0.125 tsp salt
- 2.0 tbsp butter or margarine
Directions
- 1. Sprinkle pears with lemon juice.
- 2. Toss pears with brown sugar, flour, nutmeg, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- 3. Heap into a pastry-lined 9-inch pie plate.
- 4. Dot with butter.
- 5. Add top crust, seal, flute edges, and cut vents.
- 6. Bake at 425°F for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
