Banana Cream, Coconut Cream, or Raisin Cream Pie

Ingredients

  • 3.0 cups milk, scalded
  • 0.5 cup cornstarch
  • 1.33 cups sugar
  • 0.0 pinch of salt
  • 1.0 tsp vanilla
  • 3.0 egg yolks
  • 1.0 cup cold milk
  • 0.75 cup coconut (for coconut pie)
  • 0.25 cup raisins (for raisin pie)
  • 1.0 banana, sliced (for banana pie)

Directions

  • 1. Mix cornstarch, sugar, egg yolks, salt, vanilla, and cold milk.
  • 2. Pour in scalded milk and stir constantly until thick.
  • 3. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • 4. Add coconut, raisins, or sliced banana as desired.
  • 5. Pour into a baked pie shell.
  • 6. Top with whipped topping.
