Ingredients

  • 0.0 tomatoes
  • 0.0 hot water
  • 0.0 red food coloring
  • 1.0 tsp salt (per quart)

Directions

  • 1. Wash and core tomatoes, then cut into pieces small enough for jars.
  • 2. Pack tightly into jars.
  • 3. Add hot water with red food coloring until jars are ¾ full.
  • 4. Add 1 tsp salt per quart.
  • 5. Seal and process in a hot water bath for 35 minutes after water returns to a boil.
