
Cherry-filled cookie bars

Ingredients
- 1.0 cup butter
- 1.75 cups sugar
- 4.0 eggs
- 1.0 tsp vanilla
- 2.5 cups flour
- 1.25 tsp baking powder
- 0.125 tsp salt
- 1.0 can cherry pie filling
Directions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 2. Beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- 3. Add flour, baking powder, and salt, beat until creamy.
- 4. Reserve 1.5 cups batter.
- 5. Spread remaining batter in a greased jelly-roll pan.
- 6. Spoon cherry pie filling over batter.
- 7. Drop reserved batter by teaspoonfuls over filling.
- 8. Bake 40 minutes.
