
Savory stuffed bread rolls

Ingredients
- 1.0 medium onion, sliced into rings
- 1.0 medium green pepper, sliced into rings
- 1.0 tbsp butter
- 2.0 16-oz loaves frozen bread dough, thawed
- 0.5 lb thinly sliced hard salami
- 0.5 lb thinly sliced deli ham
- 0.5 lb sliced mozzarella cheese
- 0.5 lb sliced mild cheddar cheese
- 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning
- 0.25 tsp garlic powder
- 0.125 tsp pepper
- 1.0 egg, beaten
- 1.0 tsp poppy seeds
Directions
- 1. Sauté onion and green pepper in butter until crisp-tender.
- 2. Roll each dough loaf into a 15x12-inch rectangle on greased baking sheets.
- 3. Arrange salami, ham, and cheeses over half of each rectangle lengthwise.
- 4. Top with onion mixture, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and pepper.
- 5. Fold dough over filling and pinch edges to seal.
- 6. Brush with egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
- 7. Bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- 8. Cool 5 minutes before slicing.
