Baked Pork Chop Dinner

Pork chops with potatoes and cabbage

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4.0 pork chops
  • 2.0 tbsp fat for frying
  • 0.0 salt and pepper as desired
  • 1.0 small onion, chopped
  • 1.0 can cream of celery soup
  • 1.0 can milk (equal to soup can)
  • 3.0 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1.0 small head of cabbage, shredded
  • 0.25 cup flour

Directions

  • 1. Brown pork chops in hot fat, season, and remove from pan.
  • 2. Simmer onion in drippings until soft.
  • 3. Add soup and milk to make a sauce.
  • 4. Layer potatoes and cabbage in the skillet or a buttered casserole dish, starting with potatoes.
  • 5. Sprinkle layers with flour.
  • 6. Pour sauce over layers and place chops on top.
  • 7. Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
  • 8. Uncover and bake 30 minutes more, adding milk if dry.
