Ingredients

  • 1.0 lbs bacon, chopped
  • 2.0 medium onion, chopped
  • 2.0 quarts sauerkraut, undrained
  • 2.0 cups chicken broth
  • 1.0 can of beer
  • 1.0 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1.0 tablespoon minced garlic
  • None brown sugar, to taste

Directions

  • 1. Cook Bacon
  • 2. Cook Onions
  • 3. Add all ingredients except brown sugar
  • 4. Bring to a boil then simmer for 30-45 minutes
  • 5. Add brown sugar as needed to reduce 'whang'
