Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup margarine, softened
  • 0.666 cup shortening
  • 1.0 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.0 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2.0 eggs
  • 2.0 tsp vanilla
  • 3.5 cups flour, sifted
  • 1.0 tsp salt
  • 1.0 tsp baking soda
  • 12.0 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  • 1. Cream margarine and shortening until smooth.
  • 2. Beat in sugars, eggs, and vanilla.
  • 3. Gradually add flour, salt, and baking soda, mix well.
  • 4. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • 5. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  • 6. Bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes.
