Ingredients
- 0.75 cup flour
- 0.5 tsp baking powder
- 0.5 tsp baking soda
- 1.0 pinch salt
- 0.5 cup vegetable shortening
- 0.75 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1.0 large egg
- 1.0 tsp vanilla
- 1.0 cup oatmeal
- 0.5 cup flaked coconut
- 1.0 cup chocolate chips (topping)
- 1.0 cup walnuts, chopped (topping)
- 1.0 cup M&Ms (topping)
Directions
- 1. Cream shortening and brown sugar.
- 2. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- 3. Blend in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- 4. Fold in oatmeal and coconut.
- 5. Press dough into a greased 15- or 16-inch pizza pan.
- 6. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and walnuts.
- 7. Bake at 350°F for 12-14 minutes.
- 8. Sprinkle M&Ms over hot cookie.
- 9. Cool slightly, cut into wedges.
