Ingredients
- 1.5 cups white sugar
- 1.25 cups white Karo syrup
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 1.0 lb raw peanuts
- 1.0 tsp baking soda
Directions
- 1. Mix sugar, syrup, salt, and peanuts in a heavy saucepan.
- 2. Cook, stirring constantly, until amber and peanut aroma develops.
- 3. Remove from heat, add baking soda, stir well.
- 4. Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet.
- 5. Flip onto a buttered surface, stretch until brittle.
- 6. Break into pieces when cooled.
