Great Grandma Rosalie Seiler’s Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup oleo
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 1.0 tsp vanilla or lemon extract
  • 2.0 eggs, beaten
  • 4.5 cups flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 1.0 cup sweet cream
  • 1.0 dash nutmeg

Directions

  • 1. Cream sugar and oleo.
  • 2. Add vanilla and eggs.
  • 3. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and nutmeg.
  • 4. Add flour mixture alternately with sweet cream to creamed mixture.
  • 5. Refrigerate dough.
  • 6. Roll out thick on a floured surface.
  • 7. Cut with cookie cutters.
  • 8. Bake at 350°F or 375°F until bottoms are white.
