Ingredients
- 1.0 cup butter or margarine
- 1.0 cup water
- 2.0 cups all-purpose flour
- 2.0 cups sugar
- 2.0 eggs, beaten
- 0.5 cup sour cream
- 1.0 tsp almond extract
- 1.0 tsp salt
- 1.0 tsp baking soda
- 0.5 cup butter or margarine (frosting)
- 0.25 cup milk (frosting)
- 1.5 cups powdered sugar (frosting)
- 0.5 tsp almond extract (frosting)
- 1.0 cup chopped English walnuts (frosting)
Directions
- 1. Boil butter and water.
- 2. Remove from heat, stir in flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, almond extract, salt, and baking soda until smooth.
- 3. Pour into a greased 15x10x1” pan.
- 4. Bake at 375°F for 20-22 minutes.
- 5. Boil butter and milk for frosting.
- 6. Add powdered sugar, almond extract, and walnuts, mix well.
- 7. Spread over warm cake.
